Job summary

Clan, a global industrial group, is expanding its presence in Porto and assembling a team to support Finance GBS initiatives. The role offers the chance to shape ways of working, take ownership of key deliverables, and grow within an international environment.

As an early member, you will lead end-to-end Finance GBS transitions, drive process improvements, and collaborate with Global Process Owners, IT, and local finance teams to ensure successful delivery and long-term operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance operations, Finance transformation, Process management, Project Management, Shared Services, GBS or related Finance disciplines.
• Proven experience supporting Finance process transitions, migrations, implementation, or stabilization activities strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, functions and geographic locations.
• Professional proficiency in English; Strong project management, organizational, communication, and change management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Finance GBS transition, migration and integration projects, from planning and implementation through go-live, stabilization and handover, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, timelines, quality and business objectives.
• Act as the primary link between Global Process Owners and Finance GBS teams, ensuring consistent implementation, adoption, and continuous enhancement of Finance processes, controls, standards, and ways of working.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and workstreams, driving alignment across Finance, IT, Corporate Functions, Global Process Owners, local Finance organisations, and external partners. Establish appropriate governance, manage risks and dependencies, providing regular updates to stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Drive Finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to standardize, simplify, automate and optimize processes whilst enhancing operational efficiency, quality, controls and service performance.
• Partner with Finance Operations teams to resolve operational and process challenges, implement sustainable solutions, and embed best practices across the Finance GBS function.
• Monitor project and process performance, proactively managing risks, dependencies, implementation issues, and corrective actions to ensure delivery of business outcomes and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate collaboration, communication, and knowledge transfer across GBS, Corporate Finance, Global Process Owners, IT and local Finance organizations to support successful transitions and ongoing operational excellence.
• Contribute to the establishment and long-term development of the Finance GBS organization, shaping governance, organizational integration, culture, stakeholder engagement, and future operating models as a member of the Leadership team.
