Job summary

H.B. Fuller Portugal is seeking a Financial Analyst to gather, interpret, and use complex data to improve processes and optimize results. The role focuses on operations analysis, forecasting, and day-to-day plant financial operations within a global adhesives leader.

The analyst will support the Operations leadership, prepare financial analyses, and assist in budgeting and capital investment evaluations, driving cost-saving and productivity initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or Manufacturing Finance.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Eagerness to learn and grow as a Finance Business Partner.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations leadership by providing financial analysis and insights to improve business performance.
• Prepare post-close financial analysis, explaining variances versus budget, forecast, prior year and prior period.
• Identify unusual or non-recurring items impacting financial results.
• Prepare financial summaries and recommendations with support from senior finance leadership.
• Assist in developing financial models for productivity and cost-saving initiatives.
• Assist in preparing scenario analyses for operational and capital investment decisions.
• Partner with plant Managers to explain the financial impact of transactional activities.
• Identify root causes of recurring variances and support process improvements.
• Support the accuracy and integrity of plant financial statements.
• Prepare recurring management reports including monthly outlooks and budgets.
