Job summary

Honeywell in Portugal is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Industrial Automation & Digital Solutions. You will install, commission, maintain and upgrade automation and safety systems across customer sites, delivering high-quality technical support remotely and on-site.

You'll work on OT/PLC/SCADA platforms, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and travel domestically and internationally to support Energy, Chemicals, Manufacturing and Process industries.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation or related environments.
• Hands-on experience with OT systems: DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC, SCADA.
• Degree or technical qualification in Engineering or related field.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English; valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality technical support for Honeywell automation, safety, cybersecurity, and digital solutions.
• Performing configuration, installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and system upgrades both remotely and on-site.
• Supporting a wide range of projects, from small modifications to large-scale modernization and migration initiatives.
• Installing and maintaining servers, networks, virtualized environments, hardware, and software per project specs and GSM standards.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex system incidents using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Managing customer incidents and service requests with proactive, professional communication.
