Hotel Infante Sagres in Porto is seeking a Bar Supervisor to lead daily operations for the new Experimental Cocktail Club Porto, located inside the historic hotel.

You will advise, develop and retain clientele, oversee service, train staff, and ensure hygiene and stock management. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required, with flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualificações

• Experience working in a cocktail bar, ideally in a supervisory or senior bartender role.
• Strong organizational skills and autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
• Portuguese and English communication skills.

Opening at the end of 2026 in the heart of Porto's historic city centre, Experimental Cocktail Club Porto is the latest addition to Experimental celebrated portfolio of cocktail bars, following Paris, London, New York, Venice, Verbier, Ibiza and Val d’Isère. Nestled within Hotel Experimental Porto Infante Sagres, the city's first five-star hotel, and designed by interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon, the bar will bring the Exeperimental's signature blend of craft, conviviality and design to Portugal for the first time. ABOUT THE POSITION

Under the supervision of the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Advising, developing, and retaining clientele through daily service and/or the organization of special events,
• Ensuring customer satisfaction,
• Overseeing smooth service operations by coordinating all teams,
• Participating in the onboarding and training of staff,
• Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations, proper maintenance of equipment, and overall upkeep of the bar,
• Assisting the Bar Manager in developing and updating menus according to seasonal changes,
• Supporting the management of supplies and stock in accordance with established procedures,
• Mastering the management tools necessary for the smooth operational running of the establishment,
• Acting as the Bar Manager’s deputy in their absence.

ABOUT YOU

You have proven experience working in a cocktail bar, ideally in a supervisory or senior bartender role. You are dynamic, motivated and comfortable supporting, guiding and training team members. You have strong organizational skills and autonomy, with the ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. You have a genuine passion for cocktails, hospitality and delivering an excellent guest experience. You communicate easily with both teams and guests, using appropriate and professional communication skills in Portuguese and English. Excellent interpersonal skills will allow you to bring the bar to life while maintaining its warm and friendly atmosphere. You are flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays according to operational needs. Experience the Experimental way!
