Experimental Cocktail Club Porto opens in late 2026 in the heart of Porto. The Bar Manager will oversee the cocktail and restaurant bar, ensuring high service standards, product quality and guest satisfaction. You will lead the bar team, manage daily operations, develop the bar offering and support the outlet's financial performance.

You are expected to communicate in Portuguese and English, manage evenings and weekends, and contribute to a warm, precise and guest‑focused hospitality experience.

Qualificações

• Experience in a similar bar management role within a high-end cocktail bar, hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage, motivate and develop a bar team.
• Excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and other beverages, with a strong interest in industry trends and product development.
• Commercially minded, proactive and hands-on, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and oversee the daily operation of the bar.
• Lead, supervise and monitor the bar team performance.
• Organize team schedules, shifts, holidays and daily task allocation.
• Coordinate with F&B manager and Restaurant supervisor to align bar and restaurant needs.
• Ensure an exceptional and personalized guest experience throughout the bar service.
• Prepare and serve cocktails according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide recommendations and promote products according to guest preferences.

About The Position

The Bar Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the cocktail bar and of the restaurant bar, ensuring high standards of service, product quality, guest satisfaction and team performance. The Bar Manager reports to the F&B Manager and works closely with the management team of the other outlets. He/she is responsible for leading the bar team, managing daily operations, developing the bar offering and supporting the financial performance of the outlet.

As a Bar Manager, your duties will include:

• Plan and oversee the daily operation of the bar,
• Lead, supervise and monitor the bar team performance;
• Organize team schedules, shifts, holidays and daily task allocation ensuring smooth and efficient service;
• Coordinate with the F&B manager and the Restaurant supervisor to align the bar team schedule and planning with the restaurant team needs;
• Ensure an exceptional and personalized guest experience throughout the bar service;
• Prepare and serve cocktails and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards;
• Provide recommendations and promote products according to guest preferences and the bar concept;
• Ensure the bar is properly set up and prepared for each service;
• Manage stock levels and ensure purchasing and replenishment procedures are followed;
• Coordinate special bar setups and operations for events, shows and other activities;
• Manage the bar's financial performance in line with established objectives.
• Review supplier invoices and ensure purchasing procedures are correctly followed.
• Lead by example, embodying Experimental's approach to hospitality through a service that is knowledgeable, precise, warm and genuine.

About You

You have proven experience in a similar bar management role within a high-end cocktail bar, hotel or hospitality environment. You have strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage, motivate and develop a bar team. You have excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and other beverages, with a strong interest in industry trends and product development. You have a strong understanding of bar operations, sales, stock management and cost control. You are commercially minded, proactive and hands‑on, with excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. You communicate confidently in Portuguese and English (French or another language is a plus). You are comfortable using POS systems and have knowledge of other F&B management systems is an advantage. You are flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays according to operational needs.
