AdventureRecruit UAE is seeking an Executive Chef for our upscale restaurant in Braga, Portugal. You will lead the kitchen team, plan innovative menus, and ensure top quality and presentation.

Ideal candidate has proven high-end restaurant experience, strong leadership, English fluency, and the ability to manage costs, inventory, and supplier relations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a high-end restaurant
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Creative mindset for menu development meeting dietary needs
• Strong leadership to motivate and manage a team
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English; Portuguese knowledge preferred

Executive Chef

As an Executive Chef at our upscale restaurant in Braga, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and lead our kitchen team. We are seeking a talented and experienced chef who is passionate about food and has a strong background in creating innovative and delicious dishes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and create menus that are both creative and profitable
• Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff
• Ensure quality of food by conducting regular taste tests
• Oversee inventory control, purchasing, and food cost management
• Maintain high standards of food presentation and hygiene
• Develop relationships with local suppliers to source fresh ingredients
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests
• Continuously seek out new ingredients, techniques, and trends to enhance menu offerings
• Manage kitchen budget effectively

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant environment
• Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique menu items that meet customer preferences and dietary needs
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Fluent in English (knowledge of Portuguese is preferred)

Salary: 1100$ per month
