Bpce Si in Portugal seeks a data-focused professional to collaborate with business stakeholders, translating needs into data models and technical specifications for the Data Engineering team.

You will design robust data models (star/snowflake) optimized for analysis and reporting, and design, build, test, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines into the data warehouse using Stambia or other tools.

Qualificações

• 3+ years in data analytics/ETL with focus on analysis and ETL development.
• Advanced SQL and data warehouse concepts (Kimball).
• Experience with Power BI dashboards and DAX.

Key Responsibilities

Business Requirements & Specifications: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear data models and technical specifications for the Data Engineering team. Data Modeling & Architecture: Design, structure, and maintain robust data models (star schemas, snowflake schemas) optimized for analysis and reporting. Data Governance :

Ensure data quality, consistency, and clear documentation of data definitions (data lineage and data dictionary). ETL Development: Design, build, test, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.

Tooling (Stambia & Others): Develop ETL processes primarily using Stambia (training/adaptation can be provided if you have strong experience in other market‑standard ETL tools like Talend, Informatica, SSIS, dbt, etc.). Data Quality Automation: Implement automated checks to ensure the reliability and integrity of the loaded data.

Hard Skills

Hard Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a similar role (Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer) with a strong dual focus on analysis and ETL development. Advanced SQL skills are mandatory (complex queries, joins, optimizations, stored procedures). Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehouse concepts (Kimball methodology). Direct experience with Stambia is a major asset.

Otherwise, solid experience with other ETL tools (Talend, Informatica, SSIS, Data Factory, dbt) and a strong willingness to adapt to Stambia. Prior experience working in the banking, finance, or insurance sector (understanding of financial instruments, regulatory compliance, risk management, or retail banking data) is highly appreciated. Design, develop, and maintain high‑performing, user‑friendly Power BI dashboards and reports (including DAX formulas and Power Query/M). Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP. Knowledge of Python or Unix/Linux scripting. Fluency in French and English is essential.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between business users (non‑technical) and pure developers (highly technical). Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset. Ability to take ownership of projects from requirements gathering to final delivery. Wewill only considerCVsin English.
