Job summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is currently recruiting a Junior Investment Data Officer for a multinational asset management client establishing a new hub in Porto. You will set up new financial instruments, funds and data feeds in FundSight's systems and monitor NAV imports daily.

The role requires a finance/data background, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel, SQL and Python, with fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, business, data management, mathematics, information systems or a related field.
• Interest in investment funds, financial instruments and data management.
• Analytical, structured and detail-oriented approach.
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with structured data.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work effectively with Risk Management, IT and external service providers.
• No previous full-time professional experience required.
• Basic knowledge of investment funds or financial instruments.
• Familiarity with data feeds, CSV or XML files, databases or system interfaces.
• Knowledge of Power Query, SQL, Python.
• Relevant internship experience.
• French or other European languages

Responsibilities

• Set up new financial instruments, funds and data feeds in FundSight's systems.
• Monitor daily NAV imports and resolve missing, failed or inconsistent files with IT.
• Operate EMIR reporting controls, covering completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
• Liaise with trade repositories, fund administrators and other service providers to resolve reporting issues.
• Perform data-quality controls and coordinate the remediation of exceptions.
• Maintain records of issues and follow-up actions.
• Help improve and automate recurring data processes and controls.
