A leading engineering and product development center in Portugal is looking for a skilled Back-end Developer .NET to join their Digital Solutions team. The ideal candidate will design and develop scalable microservices, leveraging technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure. Qualificações

• At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft development tools and programming languages.
• Experience working with highly available platforms and multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid knowledge in .NET framework and microservices architectures.
• Solid knowledge in .NET framework, microservices and pub/sub architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, Entity Framework, PostgreSQL and GitLab CI/CD.

Responsabilidades

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of backend services—design, implement, test, deploy, monitor, and iterate.
• Design and build .NET microservices using clean architecture principles.
• Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate them in Kubernetes.

• Leverage Azure to provision, run, and scale workloads securely and cost-effectively.

• Apply established design patterns and promote software reuse across services and libraries.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and horizontal scaling to meet global market demand.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (Product, Frontend, QA, Data, and Engineering) to deliver customer value.
• Write clear technical documentation and API contracts; contribute to architecture decisions.
• Uphold code quality through reviews, unit/integration testing, and adherence to best practices.

This opportunity for an Engenheiro | Back-end Developer .NET (m/f/d) will be integrated into the Digital Solutions team.

Job Description

You will be an important piece on the backend environment and you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of applications and services, using cutting‑edge technologies and disruptive ideas, to deliver value to our customers.

We have growing platforms and we need your help to scale and meet the demands of worldwide markets.

Our teams also work with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, Entity Framework, PostgreSQL and GitLab CI/CD, and we hope you can help. It is still important to know how to use the Azure infrastructure.

You will need to design and develop microservices for products in a highly scalable environment, work with a multidisciplinary team and architect efficient and reusable back‑end systems that drive complex applications.

Responsibilities

• Implement event-driven, pub/sub patterns to decouple systems and enable scalability;
• Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate them in Kubernetes for high availability and resilience;
• Leverage Microsoft Azure to provision, run, and scale workloads securely and cost-effectively;
• Model and optimize data with Entity Framework and PostgreSQL, including migrations and performance tuning;
• Set up and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, security checks, and deployments;
• Apply established design patterns and promote software reuse across services and libraries;
• Ensure reliability, performance, and horizontal scaling to meet global market demand;

• Academic background in Computer Science or equivalent field of studies;
• At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft development tools and programming languages;
• Experience working with highly available platforms and products, and working with multidisciplinary teams;
• Solid knowledge in .NET framework, microservices and pub/sub architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, Entity Framework, PostgreSQL and GitLab CI/CD;
• Encourage the use of appropriate software reuse techniques;
• Skills in Agile methodology, Git and JIRA.

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge with GIS technologies;
• Very good level of English, written and spoken;
• Experience working with HTTP/REST, MQTT and RPC protocols (eg.: gRPC, Thrift) or similar;
• Familiar with relational and non-relational Databases;
• Familiar with message brokers (eg. Kafka or RabbitMQ);
• Knowledge in the applicational security area, namely authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
