Air Liquide Europe Business Services (ALEBS) is seeking a Finance & Solutions professional based in Lisbon to drive agile, data-driven energy controlling initiatives under SEGE. You will collaborate with front-office, supply chain, and energy management teams to unlock value from energy data.

Ideal candidates bring a Master’s degree in a related field, 3+ years of energy controlling experience, and strong analytical skills. English proficiency is essential; French or Dutch are a plus.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics or Business & Management is required.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Energy Controlling or Middle Office roles.
• Strong knowledge of energy markets, ETRM systems, and finance tools.

Responsabilidades

• Model and configure energy sourcing and sales contracts within Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) tools.
• Perform detailed analyses on energy prices and performance.
• Forecast energy prices and assist with Group financial reporting, including off-balance sheet energy commitments.
• Participate in REMIT reporting obligations and contribute to IT tools optimization.

SEGE (Société Européenne de Gestion de l’Energie) is an Air Liquide subsidiary providing energy‑related services and expertise to European Entities for the management of their energy value chain. Its core scope encompasses the Energy Management & Decarbonization strategy, the direct energy sourcing (natural gas, power and other energy certificates) and energy finance‑related activities.

What you will do

Based in Lisbon and operating under the supervision of SEGE Operations Controller (based in Brussels), you will join the SEGE Finance & Solutions team to drive agile, diverse, and strategic initiatives. In this role, you will unlock value from data for key stakeholders and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary network of experts, including front office, supply chain, business administration, and energy management teams.

• Business Control & Analysis: Model and configure energy sourcing and sales contracts within Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) tools, and perform detailed analyses on energy prices and performance.
• Month‑End Closure: Execute energy cost and revenue calculations (ensuring proper plant allocations), control energy prices, settle financial energy transactions, and analyze major deviations in the energy P&L.
• Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare energy price guidance for Group’s Target & Reforecast processes, and assist with Group financial reporting, including the preparation of off‑balance sheet energy commitments.
• Compliance & Optimization: Participate in REMIT reporting obligations, assist in developing and implementing new controlling processes, and contribute to projects aimed at optimizing IT tools.

Are you a MATCH?

• Education: Master degree in Engineering, Economics or Business & Management.
• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Energy Controlling or Middle Office roles.
• Technical Expertise: Financial background coupled with a solid understanding of energy markets, ETRM systems, and finance tools (e.g., SAP, LIBS).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, high adaptability and a proactive, hands‑on mindset.
• Languages: Strong proficiency in English is required. French and/or Dutch is a plus.
