TE Connectivity seeks a Packaging Engineer to drive design and optimization of packaging solutions across our manufacturing sites in Portugal. You will lead packaging projects end-to-end, collaborate with Product Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing, and Manufacturing, and contribute to environmental packaging initiatives.

You will ensure packaging performance, support cost reductions, and deliver compliant documentation while working in a dynamic, global team.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering or Operations Management preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience in supply chain or materials is a plus.
• Fluency in English written and spoken.
• Strong communication and digital tool skills (MS Office).
• Autonomous, creative, and team-oriented mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Design of new packaging solutions (e.g., trays, tubes).
• Optimization of existing packaging solutions and processes.
• Initiation and execution of packaging-related OMP and VAVE projects.
• Provide packaging support to Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics, EHS, etc.
• Improve packaging quality and ensure responsibility for packaging performance.
• Work on environmental packaging initiatives (e.g., weight reduction).
• Coordinate packaging project analyses, cost calculations, and technical specs.
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives related to packaging and logistics processes.
• Drive packaging standardization across local sites and participate in international packaging teams.
