Job purpose
Responsible for leading and coordinating the internal material flow operations, covering end‑to‑end processes from the picking area, through assembly line supply, to finished goods material flows to the warehouse.
Ensures the efficient, accurate, and uninterrupted flow of materials, maintaining an optimal balance between service level, cost, and operational efficiency.
Accountable for defining, maintaining, and continuously improving safety, quality, and logistics standards within the area of responsibility.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and optimize the end‑to‑end internal material flow, from picking to finished goods.
- Ensure efficient material preparation in the warehouse, guaranteeing availability for production.
- Ensure continuous, efficient, and timely supply to production lines.
- Coordinate reverse logistics flows, including returns, excess materials, and empty packaging.
- Define and implement efficient logistics concepts (Kanban, FIFO, supermarkets, milk runs).
- Lead, coordinate, and develop the material flow management team.
- Size and allocate human resources according to required service levels.
- Monitor team performance, promoting continuous improvement, skills development, and engagement.
- Ensure alignment between warehouse operations and production needs (picking, staging, and flow).
- Supervise the storage and movement of raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods.
- Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy and traceability across the entire operation.
- Implement continuous improvements in logistics processes, applying Lean principles and promoting operational efficiency.
- Define, monitor, and analyze logistics KPIs (e.g., line stoppages, inventory and picking accuracy, supply compliance).
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain, ensuring operational alignment.
- Ensure the reliability of logistics data and effective use of SAP/ERP systems, supporting data‑driven decision‑making.
- Ensure respect and compliance with the safety and cleanliness rules of the workplace.
- Continuously improve health, safety and environmental conditions.
- Participate in the definition, implementation and maintenance of the organization policies.
- Comply with safety standards, quality, productivity, hygiene and environmental protection.
- Comply with the organization’s rules and internal regulations such as Ethics Code.
- Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when needs or service convenience warranted for a period of time defined as necessary.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Management, Business or related field.
- Minimum 3 or + years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Internal Material Flow.
- Experience in automotive industry (preferred).
- Excellent MS Office knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of Internal Logistics and material flow concepts.
- Strong knowledge of Inventory management systems.
- SAP/ERP Systems knowledge.
- Understanding automotive industry standards and customer requirements.
- Good communication, cross‑functional collaborations.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Portuguese.
