AMGEN Portugal seeks an ELMAC Business Analytics & Insights Manager - Obesity to lead forecasting, market research and analytics across the Obesity franchise in a dynamic, multi-country context.

You will collaborate with Global Brand, Value & Access, Medical and Affiliate teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations and drive performance management, while exploring new AI/ML tools to advance analytics capabilities.

Qualificações

• Doctorate, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a pharmaceutical/related field.
• Proven pharmaceutical market analysis and/or business planning experience.
• Fluency in English with strong presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee short and long-term product forecasts and brand performance tracking.
• Lead primary and secondary market research for Obesity and translate insights.
• Develop regional forecasting models and support affiliate usage.
• Drive brand performance management and link marketing assumptions to sales metrics.

ELMAC Business Analytics & Insights Manager - Obesity

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Oversee short and long-term product forecasts, brand performance tracking, primary market research, and secondary analytics, capturing the unique complexity of Obesity
• Provide an objective and meticulous point of view on sales forecasts and product performance while collaborating with Global & Affiliates Marketing, Value & Access, Medical and Forecasting teams
• Address business issues and opportunities through relevant analytical approaches, support launch readiness and business growth
• Develop/maintain an appropriate regional forecasting patient model and support the affiliates in further development/use of this model
• Drive brand specific performance management in ELMAC; ensure that marketing assumptions are appropriately linked to sales performance metrics and targets
• Implement primary market research projects, understanding the needs of the Global Brand team and affiliates and contributing to building the ELMAC insight generation plan required to meet those needs
• Work to translate the primary market research findings into practical insights and be able to influence the team’s decision making accordingly
• Improve team capabilities by researching and implementing new innovative tools including AI/ML

ELMAC BAI Team members are part of the Global Brand Team informing strategic decisions and assessments (e.g. brand planning, life cycle management, cases, long-range forecast reviews etc)

In this dynamic role you will build relationships with a wide range of internal customers and external partners across geographies, functions and levels, including Senior Management Team at Global, Regional and Country levels

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

• Doctorate, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and demonstrated pharmaceutical market analysis and/or business planning
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
• The ability to translate business questions and needs into research plans and synthesize multiple data sources to answer business questions. Can translate market research insights and findings into realistic, impactful recommendations
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results, champions new innovative methodologies and tools, and strengthen the ELMAC country community
• Therapeutic area experience and prior technical experience creating or handling KPI and performance metrics
• Curiosity to and proactive ability to dig deep and uncover the “why” beneath the observed behaviors (go beyond the rationale)
• Expertise in market analysis and forecasting (forecasting models, knowledge frameworks for qualitative competitive analysis, forecasting and analytical tools, strong proficiency in Excel)
• Commercial Analysis, Business Planning experience and strong ecosystem knowledge in ideally at least one of the key ELMAC market (Germany, France, Canada, Italy, Spain or UK)
• Preferably with understanding of reimbursement dynamics and experience with self-pay or private-insurance markets
• Deep understanding of the markets, brands and broader context (internal and external) of the business
