ALTEN is seeking a UPS & Cabling Systems Engineer to drive innovation in rail and industrial projects in Portugal. The role focuses on designing UPS and cabling solutions, performing FAT tests, and delivering comprehensive technical documentation.

Occasional travel to Portugal, EU or other countries is required for project work. Ideal candidates hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and fluently speak Portuguese and English.

Qualificações

• Degree in Electrical/Electrotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with UPS, batteries, cables, and fiber optics.
• Portuguese and English language skills are mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Create engineering specifications and plans for UPS and cabling solutions.
• Test and validate solutions (FAT, commissioning, etc.).
• Prepare technical documentation (requirements, manuals, procedures).
• Provide support for installations and configuration management.
• Work with UPS systems, cables, and fiber optics in design and sizing.
• Interact with clients and internal teams in technical reviews.

UPS & Cabling Systems Engineer – Powering Innovation in Rail & Industrial Projects with ALTEN!

Work Location

• First month: 100% on-site.
• Travel: Occasional trips to Portugal, EU, or other countries, as required by the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engineering specifications and plans for UPS and cabling solutions.
• Test and validate solutions (Factory Acceptance Tests - FAT, commissioning, etc.).
• Prepare technical documentation (requirements, manuals, procedures, training materials).
• Provide support for installations and configuration management.
• Work with UPS systems, electrical cables, and fiber optics (design, sizing, equipment selection).
• Interact with clients and internal teams in technical reviews.

What we’re looking for?

Education: Degree in Electrical/Electrotechnical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

• UPS, batteries, cables, and fiber optics (design and calculations).
• Languages: Portuguese and English (mandatory).
