Job summary

Keenfinity is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Quality function to lead quality efforts in product development, ensuring design-in quality and effective gates. The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, collaboration across global teams, and driving improvements in warranty reduction and time-to-market.

You will work in a hybrid setup in Portugal, with opportunities to engage across international stakeholders and participate in ongoing training and development programs.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (mandatory).
  • 5+ years of professional experience with electrical components.
  • Experience in global organizations and electronics/video/photo industries.
  • Knowledge of development processes, ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO27001) and agile principles.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work with international teams.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality function in product development to ensure quality gates are met.
  • Derive measures to improve preventive quality and implement them.
  • Collaborate with teams throughout the product lifecycle and track QA measures.
  • Create methods and monthly reports to manage stakeholder expectations with data-driven communication.
  • Identify and drive quality improvements and warranty-cost reductions using 8D, Fishbone, 5why methods.
  • Monitor warranty data, failure costs, and customer complaints for early detection.
  • Develop quality improvement targets aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage supplier quality issues, new product launches and supplier development.
  • Contribute to reducing Time-to-Market through improved processes and fewer deviations.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer for the quality area. If you have a background in electronic component development, experience in electronic component testing, and an interest in quality, this position may be for you!

Your contribution to something big:

  • Lead quality function in product development to ensure quality improvement opportunities are identified, targets are properly defined and implemented, lessons learned are translated to projects during product development (“designed-in quality”) and ensure that requirements for quality gates are met.
  • Derive measures to improve preventive quality of our products and contribute to their implementation.
  • Collaborate with teams throughout the product lifecycle and track appropriate quality assurance measures to achieve required product maturities.
  • Create methods and monthly reports to manage stakeholder expectations and foster data-driven communication in quality.
  • Identify and drive quality improvement and warranty cost reduction initiatives by ensuring timely and methodological problem solving through techniques such as 8D, Fishbone, 5why, etc.
  • Monitor and conduct analysis of warranty return & repair data, failure cost, and customer complaints for early detection of quality-related problems with a data driven approach.
  • Develop quality improvement targets in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Manage Trade Good Supplier quality issues, new product launch and supplier development.
  • Contribute to reduced Time-to-Market by improved execution of processes and avoidance of deviations in projects and products.

What distinguishes you:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (mandatory);
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience with eletrical components
  • Experience working for a global organization and in electronics or video/photo related industry
  • Experienced in development processes, preferably in agile principles as well as ISO Standard (i.e. ISO 9001, ISO27001)
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and act as a strong team-player across different international and multicultural stakeholders, with a distinctive sense of responsibility, customer orientation and a high level of social competence.
  • Must be resilient in a changing business environment and have excellent communication skills.
  • Must lead with confidence across different management levels and work cross-functionally.
  • Must have a process-oriented way of thinking paired with a strong analytical approach.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
