Siemens Energy in Porto, Portugal seeks an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical projects across energy transition initiatives, from fossil to decarbonisation, in collaboration with international teams.

You will work with product and project managers to ensure that work is executed to project specifications and internal processes, covering engineering, testing, commissioning and regulatory compliance.

Qualificações

• University degree in electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical design such as circuit diagrams and interface lists.
• Experience with static or rotating excitation equipment or drive technology.
• Knowledge of electrical power supply and operating modes.
• Willingness to work in an international environment and travel up to 40%
• Good communication skills and English proficiency (German is a plus)

Responsabilidades

• Technical project management and execution of electrical projects (excitation systems, start-up converters, rotating phase shifter)
• Single Point of Contact for internal/external customers, suppliers and 3rd parties
• Basic and Detail Engineering including project documentation for excitation systems
• Internal functional tests, customer acceptance tests, installation supervision and on-site commissioning
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, standards and norms
• Support sales and bid management with technical concepts, schedules and cost calculations
• Contribute to improvements and competitiveness

Working in close collaboration with an international team, you will be working with product and project managers to ensure that the work is executed according to the project specifications and internal processes.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Technical project management and execution of electrical projects, such as excitation systems, start-up converters and rotating phase shifter projects
• Single Point of Contact for internal and external customers, suppliers and 3rd parties, e.g. interact with clients during project execution (technical clarification meetings, FATs, on-site works)
• Basic and Detail Engineering incl. technical project documentation for excitation systems
• Perform internal functional tests and customer acceptance tests, installation supervision and on-site commissioning of excitation systems
• Responsibility for the implementation of regulatory requirements, standards and norms
• Support and cooperation with sales and bid management preparing technical concepts and descriptions, time schedules and cost calculations for offers
• Contribution to improvements and increasing competitiveness

What You Bring

• Successfully completed university studies in the field of electrical engineering
• Knowledge in electrical design such as circuit diagrams, interface lists, setting lists, etc.
• Knowledge of static or rotating excitation equipment or drive and converter technology
• Basic knowledge of electrical auxiliary power supply and operating modes (Hydro, Thermal, Industrial power plants)
• Willingness to participate in a specialized group in an international environment
• Willingness to carry out commissioning activities on construction sites
• Willingness to work abroad (up to 40% of the time)
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in English is mandatory, German is a plus
