Siemens Energy is seeking an engineer to support modernization projects for gas-fired and combined-cycle plants, focusing on control and instrumentation systems. You will develop I&C concepts, validate software, and present results to customers as you help drive energy efficiency across sites worldwide.

The role requires a technical degree in electrical/automation/power engineering, English fluency, and willingness to travel up to 30%. German skills are desirable.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will take over engineering tasks for modernization projects in gas-fired and combined cycle power plants, focusing on the control and instrumentation systems of gas turbines.
• You will prepare I&C concepts for the modernization of gas and combined cycle power plants.
• You will validate engineered software during project tests using hardware or virtual simulators.
• You will present engineering and test results to customers, ensuring clarity and satisfaction.
• You will commission the previously engineered and tested software at sites around the world, making a tangible impact on energy efficiency.

What You Bring

• You have successfully completed a technical degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, power engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, or a comparable field.
• You possess good knowledge in general electrical engineering, with a preference for experience in the power plant sector.
• Ideally, you have expertise in process automation and/or electrical engineering related to turbine control technology.
• You are willing to travel worldwide (up to approximately 30%).
• Business fluent English is essential, and German language skills are desirable.
