CALB Group Co., Ltd. in Portugal seeks an experienced EHS Engineer to lead environmental, health and safety compliance for the Sines project. You will ensure compliance with EIA, permits, and safety standards while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a minimum of eight years in EHS, English proficiency, and familiarity with ISO 45001/14001/14064/14067; ESG knowledge, incident response, and continuous improvement mindset.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Ensures EHS compliance of new projects in Portugal (EIA, radioactive sources, special equipment, chemicals, etc.).
• Identifies EHS risks during the approval process for the plant construction in Portugal and coordinates the project team.
• Supervises environmental monitoring during plant construction and ensures contractual EHS duties are fulfilled.
• Ensures smooth equipment move-in and plant acceptance activities to guarantee operations.
• Establishes accident and incident management system and emergency response process and plan, organizing investigation and continuous improvement of EHS.
• Identifies EHS laws and regulations during construction and operation, builds the plant EHS management system, and drives continuous improvement.

CALB (Europe) S.A is looking for a EHS Engineer to join our team in Sines.

Responsibilities

• Ensures EHS compliance of new projects in Portugal (EIA, radioactive sources, special equipment, chemicals, etc.); new construction, renovation and expansion projects, safety and environmental protection related procedures (e.g., environmental permits, industrial permits, radioactive source permits, pressure equipment, chemical use permits, etc.).
• Identifies EHS risks during the process of submitting approval for the construction of the plant in Portugal and coordinates the project team to control the identified risks.
• Supervises the environmental monitoring activities during the construction of the plant in Portugal and supervises the construction party and the supervisory unit to fulfil the EHS related duties in the contract.
• Ensures the equipment move in, ESO checking, power system plant acceptance, etc. to ensure smooth delivery and operation.
• Establishes accident and incident management system and emergency response process and plan, organizing investigation and handling of accident and incident, and continuous improvement of EHS.
• Identifies EHS laws and regulations during the construction period and operation of the Portuguese plant, builds the plant EHS management system, and organizes continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience on a same related position
• Experience in industry
• Degree related to the field

• Familiar with ISO45001, ISO14000, ISO15001, ISO14064, ISO14067 management system.
• ESG Knowledge
• Ability to deal with accidents and incidents and emergency response coordination and establish local emergency response organization.
