Job summary

Ascenza Agro in Lisboa is seeking an ecotoxicology risk assessor to prepare dossiers for registration and renewal of Active Substances and Plant Protection Products, ensuring compliance with EU PPP Regulation, REACH, OECD guidelines.

You will collaborate with Innovation, GLP Laboratories, R&D, and Product Safety, manage studies, document preparation, and meet deadlines, while maintaining high quality and proper data storage.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Toxicology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Understanding of ecotoxicology principles and regulatory frameworks (EU PPP Regulation, REACH, OECD guidelines).
• Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and modeling tools.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documents and dossiers according to legal and internal requirements and follow up until approval by regulatory authorities.
• Request, monitor, and evaluate laboratory, field, and semi-field studies and other work for document preparation.
• Ensure adherence to deadlines and comply with identified legal obligations.
• Guarantee high quality of work and proper storage of information and documentation.
• Collaborate with Product Safety, Regulatory, and R&D units and external entities as required.
• Identify issues and propose solutions; suggest training and growth opportunities.
