Siemens in Amadora, Portugal is hiring an ECAD Systems & User Administrator (f/m/d) to operate and support the EDM/ECAD landscape focused on DS-CR and CR-8000. The role combines application operations, user support, incident management and documentation.

You will work with Windows and Linux, monitor logs, create tickets, implement patches, and help improve processes. English is required; German is a plus. A hybrid environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualificações

• Experience in administration and support of Electronic Data Management (EDM) systems, preferably DS-CR.
• Knowledge of electronics engineering environments, particularly ECAD libraries.
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems; experience with monitoring and incident management.

Within Digital Industries IT, we shape the future engineering and development landscape for hardware engineering. As an ECAD Systems & User Administrator (f/m/d), you will play a key role in operating, supporting, and continuously improving our ECAD environments, with a focus on Zuken DS-CR, CR-8000, and the associated Electronic Data Management (EDM) system. You will ensure the stable, secure, and efficient operation of the application landscape, drive continuous improvements, and support our users in all relevant matters.

Your mission will be… In this role, you will work closely with your team to ensure the reliable operation of the ECAD system landscape and provide essential support to our engineering organizations.

• Supporting engineering departments in creating, maintaining, and managing data within the EDM system
• Operating, maintaining, and administering the ECAD application landscape, with a focus on Zuken DS-CR, CR-8000, and related customized extensions
• Monitoring application logs, analyzing incidents and error patterns, and handling incidents and service requests
• Creating and tracking tickets for new or previously unknown issues
• Implementing documented workarounds, security patches, and operational changes
• Creating, maintaining, and continuously improving technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and support content using MkDocs and Markdown
• Preparing and creating Polarion defects based on incident requests
• Supporting testing and validation activities following patches, hotfixes, and system changes
• Ensuring stable and auditable operations through structured handling of incidents, changes, and corrective actions
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement of applications, processes, and workflows
• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, users, engineering teams, and IT partners

We are looking for someone with… You have experience operating and supporting technical applications and demonstrate a structured, solution-oriented, and customer-focused way of working.

• Experience in the administration and support of Electronic Data Management (EDM) systems, preferably DS-CR
• Knowledge of electronics engineering environments, particularly ECAD libraries
• Experience with Zuken DS-CR, CR-8000, or comparable solutions such as Siemens Xpedition
• Experience with application monitoring and the analysis of application logs and known error patterns
• Knowledge of incident management and the structured handling of incidents and service requests
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base content
• Knowledge of MkDocs and Markdown
• Experience with Polarion, especially defect creation and tracking, is an advantage
• Good to very good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Initial experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is beneficial
• Good experience with remote administration tools such as PuTTY and WinSCP
• Good knowledge of SQL databases, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience supporting testing activities following patches, hotfixes, and changes in technical environments
• Optional: Strong development skills in Java, Perl, Python, Shell Script/Bash, Batch, or PowerShell
