ROLE SUMMARY:

The Early Learning English Teacher will be responsible for introducing and developing English language skills in children from 4 months to 5 years old. Operating within the St. Peter's Early Learning School framework, the teacher will design and deliver highly engaging, play-based oral language experiences. The goal is to foster early bilingualism through an immersive, natural, and joyful environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver dynamic, play-based English language activities (including songs, storytelling, games, and puppetry) tailored to infants and young learners. Foster an immersive language environment by interacting consistently in English to encourage spontaneous verbal expression and comprehension. Plan and prepare age-appropriate lessons and resources aligned with the school's educational project and early childhood inquiry principles.

Observe and track each child's language development milestones, providing qualitative updates and feedback to families and pedagogical coordinators. Maintain continuous and empathetic communication with parents, ensuring they are informed about their child's daily progress and engagement. Collaborate closely with Classroom Educators and Teaching Assistants to smoothly integrate language learning into daily classroom routines and care moments.

Strictly adhere to the school's health, safety, and child protection protocols (Safeguarding) to guarantee a secure learning environment. Participate actively in team meetings, professional development workshops, and school events organized by the Inspired Education Group.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Qualifications:

Degree in Early Childhood Education, Modern Languages, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL/CELTA), or a related field suitable for early years settings. Language Proficiency: Native or near-native English speaker. Basic knowledge of Portuguese is a plus but not strictly required.

Experience:

Proven experience teaching English to very young children (Nursery, Toddlers, or Pre-school) within an international or private school setting. Key Skills: High energy, exceptional creativity, patience, warm communication style, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
