ROLE SUMMARY:

The Early Learning English Teacher will be responsible for introducing and developing English language skills in children from 4 months to 5 years old. Operating within the St. Peter's Early Learning School framework, the teacher will design and deliver highly engaging, play-based oral language experiences. The goal is to foster early bilingualism through an immersive, natural, and joyful environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver dynamic, play-based English language activities (including songs, storytelling, games, and puppetry) tailored to infants and young learners.
• Foster an immersive language environment by interacting consistently in English to encourage spontaneous verbal expression and comprehension.
• Plan and prepare age-appropriate lessons and resources aligned with the school's educational project and early childhood inquiry principles.
• Observe and track each child’s language development milestones, providing qualitative updates and feedback to families and pedagogical coordinators.
• Maintain continuous and empathetic communication with parents, ensuring they are informed about their child's daily progress and engagement.
• Collaborate closely with Classroom Educators and Teaching Assistants to smoothly integrate language learning into daily classroom routines and care moments.
• Strictly adhere to the school's health, safety, and child protection protocols (Safeguarding) to guarantee a secure learning environment.
• Participate actively in team meetings, professional development workshops, and school events organized by the Inspired Education Group.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Qualifications: Degree in Early Childhood Education, Modern Languages, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL/CELTA), or a related field suitable for early years settings.
• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native English speaker. Basic knowledge of Portuguese is a plus but not strictly required.
• Experience: Proven experience teaching English to very young children (Nursery, Toddlers, or Pre-school) within an international or private school setting.
• Key Skills: High energy, exceptional creativity, patience, warm communication style, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
