Yazaki Europe Middle East and Africa in Portugal is seeking a Design Validation Plan (DVP) Engineer to lead the full DVP for automotive projects in the Ovar area. You will coordinate internal and external validation activities, analyze customer requirements, and deliver validation results.
The role requires an engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or Materials), advanced Excel and strong communication skills. Travel may be required.

Porto Technical Centre is the largest Yazaki global engineering services provider, that offers high-tech product development capabilities, translating customer specific needs into efficient production concepts, while consolidating and developing EDS expertise across plants on the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. We are currently seeking high potential candidates to join us through Design Validation Plan (DVP) team, reporting directly to the area supervisor.
Position Mission: Lead, develop and maintain the complete Design Validation Plan (DVP) for assigned projects, ensuring all customer requirements are cascaded, validated and documented, while coordinating internal and external validation activities to secure robust product and its quality.
Develop, implement and maintain the full Design Validation Plan (DVP) for assigned projects.
Analyse and manage cascaded customer requirements to ensure compliance throughout the validation process.
Coordinate all internal and external validation activities.
Conduct validation testing, technical reviews and functional assessments.
Track and report DVP progress, risks and issues, escalating where needed.
Prepare technical documentation, validation reports and customer sign off deliverables.
Act as the primary technical interface to the customer for all matters related to validation and requirements.
Support quality, process improvement and compliance activities.
Facilitate smooth communication between engineering teams, testing teams and other internal stakeholders.
Promote and support improvement activities related to validation processes and methodologies.
Ensure effective information cascading among department members and cross functional teams.
Support project planning by defining validation timelines and dependencies.
Track milestone adherence and ensure due dates agreed with the customer are followed.
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Materials Engineering, or similar.
Solid knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel (advanced level).
Knowledge of DFMEA and design validation processes.
Understanding of automotive standards (IATF / ISO / TISAX).
Advanced English (spoken and written).
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer and stakeholder interaction.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Dynamism, resilience and self-discipline.
Strong time-management and team-working skills.
Availability to travel if required.
