Job summary

Quadrante is seeking a skilled Draftsman to join our Lisbon office, strengthening our Waste and Water Utilities unit. You will develop and refine hydraulic project drawings, lead drafting efforts, and mentor junior team members in a dynamic, international environment.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of five years' drafting experience, strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills, and a solid command of English. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers and timely delivery of quality documentation.

Qualifications

• 12th grade completed, ideally with a technical drawing or drafting course.
• Solid knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Minimum 5 years of professional drafting experience, preferably in hydraulic or water utilities.
• Strong ability to interpret and validate drawings and engineering docs.
• Good command of English.

Job description

Quadrante is looking to strengthen our Waste and Water Utilities Business Unit by recruiting a Draftsman, based at our Lisbon office.

With both national and international projects of varying scales and typologies, Quadrante offers a unique professional experience in the Portuguese engineering market.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and preparation of technical drawings for Hydraulic projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable standards
• Produce, review, and update complex 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring high technical quality
• Prepare and oversee layouts, equipment arrangements, piping drawings, and other technical documentation
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior draftsmen, reviewing their work for accuracy and consistency
• Collaborate closely with engineers and designers, contributing technical input to support design decisions
• Revise and update drawings according to project developments and design changes, anticipating potential issues
• Ensure the organization and integrity of project documentation and drawing records
• Ensure compliance with established project deadlines and quality standards, proactively managing priorities across multiple projects

Profile:

• 12th grade completed, preferably with a Technical Drawing, Drafting, or related technical course
• Solid knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D (mandatory)
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in technical drafting, preferably within hydraulic or water utilities projects
• Strong ability to interpret and validate technical drawings and engineering documentation
• Intermediate to good knowledge of English
• Attention to detail, organization, and strong commitment to quality
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively and lead within multidisciplinary teams
