Discovery Land Company in Portugal seeks a Director of Operations for its Club Operations Department to inspire member facing teams and enrich member and prospect experiences.

The role partners with Sales, Development, F&B, Member Services, Outdoor Pursuits, HR and other key operations to ensure resources and communication needed to deliver exceptional experiences for members and prospects. A Masters or MBA is a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in operational management or leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid knowledge of process management and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Good level of English (written and spoken).

• Define, implement, and monitor the operational strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Coordinate and supervise operational teams and departments ensuring productivity and quality.
• Analyze KPIs and implement continuous improvement plans.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resources.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Lead process improvement and organizational transformation projects.
• Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, HR and others for strategic alignment.
• Report to Management on operational performance.
• Manage, motivate, and develop teams under responsibility.

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: “Project Name”, set outside of “closest and largest recognizable city/state”.
“Project Name” is seeking a Director of Operations to join the Club Operations Department.
The Director of Operations inspires member facing teams as they enrich member and prospect experiences. The Director of Opeartions partner with Sales, Development, Food & Beverage, Member Services, Outdoor Pursuits, Human Resources, and other key operations departments to ensure all teams have the resources and communication needed to deliver outstanding experiences for all members and prospects. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and monitor the operational strategy, aligned with the company’s overall objectives
• Coordinate and supervise operational teams and departments, ensuring productivity and quality
• Analyze performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement plans
• Manage operational budgets, control costs, and optimize resources
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and applicable regulatory standards
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans
• Lead process improvement and organizational transformation projects
• Collaborate with other departments (Finance, Commercial, Human Resources, among others) to ensure strategic alignment
• Report regularly to Management on operational performance
• Manage, motivate, and develop the teams under their responsibility

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational management or leadership roles
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams
• Solid knowledge of process management, operational optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong analytical skills and results-driven mindset
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in management and data analysis tools
• Good level of English (written and spoken)
