Description

Role Purpose

The European Financial Services team is seeking an experienced professional to support the growth and development of WTW's Work & Rewards business across Europe.

The role will focus on originating, developing and coordinating strategic Work & Rewards opportunities with leading Financial Services institutions, with particular emphasis on large multinational banking groups, while also supporting activities across insurance, asset management, payments, market infrastructure and other Financial Services sectors.

Particular emphasis will be placed on Executive Compensation, Compensation Management, Compensation Design, Broad-Based Reward, Reward Governance and related data and benchmarking solutions.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Europe, the successful candidate will help drive client engagement, originate and coordinate opportunities, strengthen market relationships and support the delivery of strategic Work & Rewards advisory initiatives for major Financial Services organisations.

The successful candidate will also work closely with advisory, data and survey teams, helping clients leverage WTW's reward intelligence, including compensation surveys, Executive Compensation benchmarking and broader Reward Data Intelligence solutions.

The role forms part of the European Financial Services leadership team and reports to the European Financial Services Leader.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Support the development and execution of the European Financial Services Work & Rewards growth strategy.
  • Identify and coordinate opportunities across major multinational Financial Services groups.
  • Develop relationships with senior decision-makers across banking, insurance, asset management and other Financial Services sectors.
  • Partner with country leaders, Work & Rewards leaders and solution teams to originate and convert business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities across Europe.

Work & Rewards Growth

  • Drive the growth of WTW's Work & Rewards business within the Financial Services sector.
  • Identify and originate opportunities across Executive Compensation, Compensation Management, Compensation Design, Broad-Based Reward and Reward Governance.
  • Support the positioning and sale of Executive Compensation advisory engagements.
  • Work closely with Work & Rewards leaders across Europe to coordinate strategic client opportunities.
  • Promote integrated client solutions combining advisory, data and technology offerings.

Client Leadership

  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders.
  • Support complex client discussions involving Executive Compensation, Compensation Design, Compensation Management, Reward Governance, workforce and broader people-related challenges.
  • Coordinate multi-country and cross-functional pursuits involving several WTW business lines.
  • Strengthen relationships with key accounts and strategic targets across Europe.

Reward Data, Surveys and Benchmarking

  • Drive participation in WTW's compensation and reward surveys across Financial Services.
  • Support the growth of Executive Compensation benchmarking services and products.
  • Collaborate closely with Reward Data Intelligence teams to identify opportunities and deliver value to clients.
  • Promote Executive Compensation databases, compensation surveys and broad-based reward survey solutions.
  • Support clients in leveraging market data and benchmarking insights to inform reward strategy, governance and pay decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand participation in WTW survey products and data solutions.

Market Leadership

  • Maintain a strong understanding of market developments, regulatory trends and competitive dynamics affecting Financial Services institutions.
  • Represent WTW in relevant market forums, industry events and client discussions.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and market positioning across Executive Compensation, reward and broader people-related topics within the Financial Services sector.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with country leaders and specialists throughout Europe.
  • Facilitate collaboration across advisory, data and technology solutions where relevant to client needs.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and consistent execution of the Financial Services strategy across geographies.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a highly credible Financial Services professional with substantial experience working with leading Financial Services institutions.

Candidates should demonstrate either:

  • Significant in-house experience within a major Financial Services organisation; or
  • A well-established advisory track record supporting Financial Services clients across Europe.

The individual should possess:

  • Deep understanding of the Financial Services sector, particularly banking.
  • Strong knowledge of Executive Compensation, Compensation Design, Compensation Management and Reward Governance.
  • Strong understanding of the organisational, talent, reward and governance challenges facing large multinational institutions.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with senior executives and business leaders.
  • Established market credibility and a strong professional network within the Financial Services industry.
  • Ability to coordinate complex multi-country opportunities and stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent commercial and relationship-management skills.
  • Familiarity with compensation surveys, market benchmarking and reward data solutions would be advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in banking, insurance, asset management or related Financial Services sectors.
  • Proven track record supporting large multinational Financial Services groups.
  • Experience operating in a pan-European environment.
  • Strong business development and client relationship-management credentials.
  • Experience working with senior executive and board-level stakeholders
