Intermedia is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer - Voice to join our Tech Operations team. The role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to Coimbra or Aveiro as we plan future office openings, enabling collaboration and teamwork across a multinational setup.

You will build, maintain, and operate Linux-based infrastructure at scale, focusing on automation and efficiency while supporting a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the Linux operating system and comfort with the command line.
• Experience with using Chef or other configuration management tools to automate servers and apps.
• Ability to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Github Actions, and Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of networking principles, including DNS, TCP/UDP, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Foundational understanding of security best practices.
• Proficiency with scripting languages like Bash, Ruby, Python, or Go.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate closely with DevOps engineers and the development team to deploy and maintain application infrastructure.
• Assist in the development and support of tooling to streamline deployment and maintenance.
• Work with GitHub, Jenkins, and Chef to deploy applications from development through production.
• Support both in-house and third-party applications, including deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Build and manage automation pipelines for deployment and maintenance.
• Engage in day-to-day management of Linux servers via the command line.
• Create monitoring dashboards and alerts in Grafana using Prometheus and Alertmanager.
• Document processes and best practices clearly and concisely.
• Participate in incident solving on-call rotation.

About the Role:

While primarily remote, this role requires occasional visits to the office in Coimbra or in Aveiro. We plan to open an office in Porto in the future. This approach gives team members the flexibility to work remotely while also coming together in the office for collaboration and teamwork. We are looking for a proactive and eager DevOps Engineer with experience in building, maintaining, and operating Linux based infrastructure at scale. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for automation and efficiency and thrives in a collaborative multi-national environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate closely with fellow devops engineers and the development team to deploy and maintain application infrastructure.
• Assist in the development and support of tooling to streamline the deployment and maintenance of our products.
• Work with Github, Jenkins, and Chef to deploy applications from development through to production environments.
• Support both in-house and third-party applications, including handling deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Build and manage automation pipelines for application deployment and maintenance.
• Engage in the day-to-day management of Linux servers via the command line
• Create monitoring dashboards and alerts in Grafana leveraging Prometheus and Alertmanager.
• Document processes and best practices clearly and concisely.
• Participate in incident solving on-call rotation.

What You Will Bring to the Role

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the Linux operating system and comfort working at the command line.
• Experience with using Chef or other configuration management tools to automate the creation and maintenance of servers and applications.
• Ability to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Github Actions, and Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of networking principles, including DNS, TCP/UDP, firewalls, and load balancers.
• A willingness to dive into both complex systems and more routine tasks, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
• A foundational understanding of security best practices.
• Proficiency with scripting languages like Bash, Ruby, Python, or Go.
