Claranet Limited in Cascais, Portugal, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a public sector client. You will design, implement and maintain automation, develop CI/CD pipelines, and manage Linux and Windows environments for stability and security.

You will collaborate with development, infrastructure and support teams to ensure reliability, support deployments and upgrades, and document technical solutions. This Hybrid role offers Cascais office days and opportunities to contribute to impactful

Formación

• Degree in IT or related field.
• Proven experience as DevOps, SysAdmin or Infra Engineer.
• Strong Linux and Windows Server skills.
• Automation with Ansible and scripting (Shell/PowerShell/Python).
• CI/CD tooling and deployment experience.
• Docker and Kubernetes knowledge.
• Database experience (Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Monitoring/observability knowledge.
• IaC and configuration management understanding.
• Strong troubleshooting and teamwork.
• Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.

Right now, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join one of our clients in the public sector, based in Cascais.

Your responsibilities include:

• Design, implement and maintain automation processes to improve infrastructure and application operations;
  
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery and deployment processes;
  
• Manage and administer Linux and Windows environments, ensuring stability, performance and security;
  
• Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Shell scripting and other automation tools;
  
• Monitor applications and infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving incidents;
  
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure and support teams to ensure system reliability and availability;
  
• Support application deployments, patching activities and infrastructure upgrades;
  
• Manage and troubleshoot databases and application environments;
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and DevOps best practices;
  
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
  

You must have:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field;
  
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer;
  
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration;
  
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell or Python);
  
• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment processes;
  
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
  
• Experience working with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL;
  
• Understanding of monitoring and observability tools;
  
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management practices;
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
  
• Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
  

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure, GCP or hybrid cloud environments;
  
• Knowledge of Jenkins, Git, HashiCorp Vault or Dynatrace;
  
• Experience with ITIL methodologies;
  
• Experience in public sector environments;
  
• Relevant technical certifications in Cloud, DevOps or Automation.
