GBT Solutions, a Portuguese technology company, seeks a Software & DevOps Architect in Lisbon. The role focuses on designing scalable, reliable cloud/hybrid systems and aligning development with operations to accelerate delivery.

You will drive CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and mentor engineering teams while collaborating with enterprise stakeholders to implement modern architectural practices.

Position

Software & DevOps Architect

Location

Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid - 2x per week)

Compensation

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, performant, and reliable solutions across distributed and cloud/hybrid environments.
• Bridge the gap between software development and infrastructure by driving end-to-end architecture and DevOps best practices.
• Interact with functional and technical architects to design robust enterprise solutions. Implement, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation strategies, and production delivery workflows.
• Setup technical standards, guide/mentor engineering teams, and drive technical workshops on emerging trends.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, system architecture, or senior DevOps/Platform roles.
• Solid background in core backend engineering (Java 11+, Spring Framework/Spring Boot) or strong capability in application architecture review.
• Proven hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and event-driven messaging architectures (e.g., Kafka).
• Strong experience in DevOps methodologies, automation, infrastructure management, and production environments.
• Advanced / Fluent English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
