Job summary

Planck Technologies in Lisbon is seeking an experienced DevOps Consultant/Engineer with strong Java expertise to deliver cloud-ready solutions across client projects. The role combines DevOps with hands-on Java Spring Boot development, microservices, RESTful services, and API integrations.

You will work with AWS, Git/Azure DevOps, automated testing, monitoring, and code quality practices, collaborating closely with stakeholders. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a DevOps Consultant/Engineer with strong Java development expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot, with Spring Batch being a strong advantage.
• Solid experience developing microservices, RESTful services, API integrations, and database-connected applications.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud environments and DevOps/CI-CD principles.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps (ADO), automated testing, troubleshooting, monitoring/observability, caching, and message queuing.
• Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and Scrum methodology.
• Strong consultancy, communication, and collaboration skills, with a resilient, adaptable, and goal-oriented mindset.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Act as a key DevOps consultant and developer, delivering high-quality solutions from day one.
• Combine DevOps expertise with hands-on development using Java Spring Boot and microservices.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient architectures.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and support development and deployment pipelines.
• Apply best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, and code quality.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and client stakeholders, providing technical guidance and consultancy.
• Demonstrate a proactive, adaptable, and goal-oriented approach while contributing to continuous improvement.
