Agap2 Netherlands seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to migrate AWS infrastructure from multiple accounts into a single consolidated environment and to streamline deployment pipelines for our in-house application platform. You will work with HashiCorp tooling (Terraform, Vault, Consul, Nomad), automate with Python/Bash/Go, and collaborate with developers to ensure platform stability and scalable deployments.

Applicants should have strong AWS knowledge, cloud migration experience, and be comfortable

The position

You will play a key role in migrating cloud infrastructure (AWS) from multiple AWS accounts into a single consolidated environment, whilst streamlining the software deployment processes for the in-house developed application platform.

You will work with a modern HashiCorp-based infrastructure stack, in an environment where ambiguity, problem-solving and pragmatic decision-making are part of the day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the migration of AWS infrastructure from multiple accounts into a single consolidated AWS environment.
• Streamline, improve and maintain software deployment pipelines for the in-house application platform.
• Design, build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Manage and administer HashiCorp tooling, including Vault, Consul and Nomad.
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes using scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Go.
• Monitor platform performance, availability and health using APM and logging tools.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to support application deployments and platform stability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment-related issues and identify pragmatic solutions.Work effectively in an environment with ambiguity, taking ownership and driving solutions forward.

What You bring to the position

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with hands‑on expertise in AWS, Infrastructure as Code and the HashiCorp ecosystem.

• Strong expertise with Terraform, Vault, Consul and Nomad.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, including AWS Lambda, and experience with cloud migrations or account consolidation.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation and CI/CD, preferably with Bamboo.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash or Go.
• Working knowledge of NodeJS, .NET Core, Python or C#.
• Experience with APM and logging tools, such as Datadog, New Relic or ELK.
• Good understanding of container orchestration, service mesh and microservices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently, collaborate with development teams and navigate ambiguous environments.
• Portugal‑based professional with a valid work permit.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of network security and infrastructure security best practices.
• Understanding of service mesh concepts.
• Familiarity with KrakenD, Nginx and modern cloud infrastructure is a plus.
