DataSmart, a Portuguese technology services company, is seeking a Database Management Specialist/Services Coordination for a hybrid role in Porto. The ideal candidate will manage the full lifecycle of PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases, while supporting Oracle and SQL Server environments both on-premises and in the cloud.

You will design and test backup, recovery, HA and DR solutions, monitor capacity, and ensure security at both system and application levels.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5+ years in Database Administration or Services Coordination.
• Degree in CS/IS or related field.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL and MongoDB in on-premises and cloud.
• Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server administration.
• Certs in PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Oracle/SQL Server preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage full lifecycle of database platforms and components.
• Administer PostgreSQL and MongoDB both on-prem and cloud.
• Support Oracle and SQL Server databases on-prem and cloud.
• Design and test backup, recovery, HA, DR solutions.
• Monitor capacity and plan future resources.
• Ensure database security at system and application levels.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries with tools.
• Collaborate with devs to optimize schemas, tables, indexes.
• Handle deployments, schema changes, and CI/CD releases.
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Improve monitoring, automation, and error prevention.
• Participate in database-related projects and 24/7 on-call rotation.
