Retail Consult in Porto, Portugal is seeking a Data Scientist to join the growing delivery team. You will work within the Innovation Team on Artificial Intelligence projects, researching algorithms for retail applications like optimization and forecasting, including LLMs and reinforcement learning.

You will design, build and implement software solutions, starting as proofs-of-concept and evolving into market offerings, and you will help lead new team members in a collaborative, international

Qualificações

• Master’s Degree in Informatics Engineering or similar.
• +2 years of professional experience.
• Strong ML/AI implementation knowledge.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Python, Java and SQL.

Responsabilidades

• Be part of the Innovation Team, with focus in Artificial Intelligence projects.
• Research the algorithms to apply to real-life projects in the Retail Area, such as Optimization and Forecast or LLM or reinforcement Learning.
• Design, build and implement software solutions, to be used as proof-of-concept and later as market offerings.
• As part of Innovation team, lead the newcomers.

We are currently seeking for a Data Scientist to join our growing delivery team in Porto, Portugal.

What you’ll be doing:

• Be part of the Innovation Team, with focus in Artificial Intelligence projects;
• Research the algorithms to apply to real-life projects in the Retail Area, such as Optimization and Forecast or LLM or reinforcement Learning;
• The research will be executed as part of a multi-disciplinary team, combining academic research and best-of-breed solutions from the market, using real-life data pools;
• Design, build and implement software solutions, to be used as proof-of-concept and later as market offerings;
• As part of Innovation team, lead the newcomers;

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge in implementing Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (IA) algorithms and techniques;
• Master’s Degree in Informatics Engineering or similar;
• +2 years of professional experience;
• Knowledge in Python, Java and SQL;
• Experience working independently in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
• Ability to work well within a team with several seniority levels;
• Proficiency in Spanish, French or German will be a plus;
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
