Job summary

Softlanding leads a new Tech Hub in Porto, collaborating with a European mobility services provider. You will own the Core Data Model and Gold Layer, driving consistent business entities, dimensions, metrics and semantic integrity across teams.

You will define standards, govern data architecture, and ensure scalable, secure data platforms using Snowflake, dbt, SQL, Python and cloud-native tools in an AI/ML‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Core Data Model and Gold Layer governance.
• Strong background in data modeling, entities, dimensions, metrics and semantic consistency.
• Experience defining modeling standards, data architecture principles, governance frameworks.
• Ability to act as design authority for shared data models across domains and teams.
• Focus on data quality, reusability, scalability, and maintainability of enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, dbt, SQL and Python.
• Understanding of modern data architectures (Data Lakehouse and Data Mesh).
• Experience with Azure, Spark and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the Core Data Model and Gold Layer, ensuring a consistent, business-oriented data foundation.
• Define and maintain core business entities, shared dimensions, facts, and metrics across the organization.
• Transform fragmented source data into trusted, reusable, and decision-ready data products.
• Establish and enforce data modeling standards, conventions, and architectural best practices.
• Ensure semantic consistency across domains, preventing duplication and conflicting definitions.
• Act as the design authority for core data models, shared entities, and enterprise metrics.
• Balance business needs with long‑term data platform scalability, maintainability, and governance.
