Job summary

Pepco Iberia is expanding its Tech Hub in Porto and seeks a Data Architect to own enterprise data architecture, models, interfaces and integration patterns. You will ensure data is structured, stored, governed, secured and consumed across systems, aligning with business and technology strategies.

You will lead data architecture engagements, develop roadmaps, and set standards while collaborating with teams across markets. Fluency in English is required and hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Master’s degree would be a plus.
• 3+ years in a data architecture role.
• Advanced knowledge of data management regulations, compliance requirements and industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of emerging IT technologies and their application to data management.
• Advanced knowledge of retail-specific data architecture, including data volumes and industry-specific characteristics.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and data management technologies.
• Advanced expertise in MS SQL Server (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS), relational databases and data warehousing.
• Advanced knowledge of Databricks and Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (hardware and software) and software development lifecycles and methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of retail business processes and ITIL frameworks.
• Familiarity with remote diagnostics, PC hardware and peripherals, and Windows operating systems (server and desktop).
• Advanced level of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates requirements for data architecture and interviews stakeholders to develop a data architecture roadmap.
• Documents detailed requirements and develops creative data architecture solutions.
• Analyzes systems to implement interfaces and enterprise data models aligned with IT direction.
• Provides leadership on design, development and implementation of data architecture solutions.
• Develops roadmaps and blueprints for data architecture and sets performance standards.
• Documents configurations and design specifications; develops interface specifications.
• Plans and documents objectives, timelines, budgets and work assignments; manages resources.
