Amaris Consulting in Lisbon is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to design and implement governance frameworks, policies, and standards. You will develop roadmaps, establish structures, and oversee data quality, privacy, and compliance programs in a hybrid Lisbon-based role.

Experience with Purview, data catalogs, and regulatory knowledge (GDPR/HIPAA) is preferred. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential to drive governance across the enterprise.

Qualificações

• Must have experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) and multinational compliance is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Fabric, and data catalog tools is preferred.
• Certifications in data governance, stewardship, and Microsoft compliance are a plus.
• Academic background in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or related field.

You will join our team based in Lisbon and work hybrid, contributing to the development, implementation, and enforcement of organizational data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain data classification, ownership, stewardship, and quality policies
• Support data privacy, compliance, and incident response processes
• Define and monitor data quality standards and metrics
• Oversee enterprise data asset inventory and cataloging using Microsoft Purview

• Deliver stakeholder communication and training on governance policies

Profile

• Experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks in enterprise environments
• Experience in regulated sectors or humanitarian organizations
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) and multinational compliance
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Fabric, and data catalog tools
• Certifications in data governance, stewardship, and Microsoft compliance
• Academic background: computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or related field
• English fluent. Portuguese or French is a plus.
• You demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills
