We seek a Data Engineer to design and optimize scalable data pipelines handling IoT and telematics data, collaborating with data scientists and MLOps. You will build cloud data platforms, ensure data quality, and enable AI/ML services across our global fleet customers.

The role emphasizes real-time and batch processing, data governance, and mentoring junior engineers in an international, fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience building data pipelines with AirFlow.
• Hands-on with big data frameworks like Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Kafka, DBT.
• Strong data modeling and database knowledge (relational, NoSQL, time-series).
• Experience with Agile methods and working in international teams.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Job Description

In Digital Solutions, we drive innovation for connected mobility and deliver cutting-edge digital products to our global fleet customers. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building and optimizing data platforms and pipelines that power AI-driven solutions for our global fleet customers.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructures, ensuring seamless integration of IoT and telematics data from connected tires and vehicles. Working closely with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, and cross-functional teams, you will enable advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities that enhance safety, reduce costs, and extend tire lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for real-time and batch processing of IoT and telematics data;
• Develop and manage cloud-based data platforms, optimizing workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency;
• Implement data quality, validation, and governance processes, ensuring compliance with security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR);
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and MLOps Engineers to deliver reliable datasets and support end-to-end AI/ML services;
• Mentor junior engineers, review work, and organize knowledge-sharing sessions to foster best practices.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field;
• >2 years of experience as a Data Engineer;
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL;
• Expertise in data pipelining (AirFlow);
• Hands-on experience with big data and distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Kafka, DBT);
• Solid understanding of data modeling and databases (relational, NoSQL, time-series);
• Familiarity with data versioning and lineage tracking;
• Experience with Agile project management methods (Scrum, Kanban);
• Experience working in an international team (desirable);
• Reliable team player with structured self-organized workstyle;
• Proficient English language skills (spoken / written).
