Job summary

Syone is seeking a data-focused professional to translate business requirements into technical specs for the Data Engineering team in Lisbon, Portugal. You will design and maintain data models (star/snowflake) and develop BI dashboards to empower analytics-driven decisions.

You’ll build ETL/ELT pipelines, integrate data from multiple sources, and ensure data quality and lineage across the data estate. You will collaborate with stakeholders, maintain documentation, and continuously improve data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role (Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer / BI Developer).
• Strong SQL skills with complex queries and optimization.
• Relational databases, data warehousing and data modeling knowledge (Kimball).
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Stambia, Talend, Informatica, SSIS, Azure Data Factory or dbt.
• Willingness to learn Stambia if you have experience with other ETL technologies.
• Professional proficiency in French (minimum B2) to interact with French-speaking stakeholders.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications for the Data Engineering team.
• Design, develop and maintain data models, including star and snowflake schemas, optimized for analytics and reporting.
• Design, develop and maintain dashboards and BI reporting solutions to support business decision-making.
• Build, test and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources into data warehouses.
• Develop and maintain data integration processes using Stambia and other ETL tools.
• Implement automated data quality checks to ensure data reliability, consistency and integrity.
• Maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, data definitions and data lineage.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes, performance and reporting capabilities.
