Job summary

IRIUM is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale data platforms in a hybrid Lisbon environment. You will work with a modern Azure stack, including Databricks, ADLS, Event Hubs, Delta Lake, and Spark technologies, delivering robust data pipelines and reliable data solutions.

The role requires 4+ years in data/software engineering, strong Python skills, and fluent English. The position offers a hybrid Lisbon work model with a gross monthly salary range of €1,600–€1,900

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in Data Engineering or software engineering.
• Proven design, build and operation of large-scale data platforms or cloud data solutions.
• Strong SQL, data modelling and data pipeline development skills.
• Hands-on with Azure Databricks and ADLS.
• Experience with Delta Lake and Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud-native data platforms.
• Proficiency with Terraform / IaC and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting and production incident resolution.
• Fluent English in a professional setting.
