VW Group Digital Solutions [Portugal] is seeking a data platform engineer to build robust data pipelines and scalable storage solutions on Azure, leveraging Databricks and Power BI for insight generation.

You will model data, manage ETL processes, and ensure security and governance across cloud-based data services. Proficiency with Spark, SQL/NoSQL, Python, and Azure is essential for success in this role within our growing data platform team.

Qualificações

• Experience with data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of Spark, Azure Databricks, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of data architecture, security, and best practices.
• Proficient in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with cloud-based data services, especially Azure.
• Expertise in data governance frameworks and implementation.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

About the Product

At PowerCo we want to develop robust and sustainable data solutions on a data platform using Azure Databricks & Power BI integrated with various Azure services to manipulate and analyze data.

You’ll be focused in

• Designing and implementing Data Pipelines, Data Storage and Data Processing solutions
• Managing Data Integration and Storage solutions
• Modelling data, handling ETL processes and Data Warehousing
• Developing and maintaining data architecture, ensuring scalability, security & availability
• Managing cloud-based data services, particularly Azure
• Implementing Data Governance

In order to succeed, you’ll need

• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
• Strong experience with data technologies (e.g., Spark, Azure Databricks, SQL & NoSQL databases)
• Deep understanding of data architecture, security principles and best practices
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation and analysis
• Extensive experience with cloud-based data services, particularly in Azure
• Expertise in data governance frameworks and implementation
• Great English skills, both written and spoken.
