Job summary

KCS IT, based in Lisbon, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer (AWS) to design and maintain robust data pipelines across multiple clients. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and a solid grasp of data modelling, governance, and architecture.

The position offers a hybrid work model in Lisbon, with opportunities to work on diverse international projects and benefit from ongoing training programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related subject.
• 5+ years of experience building data pipelines on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: S3, ECS, Lambda, RDS, SNS/SQS, IAM, CloudWatch.
• Strong experience with SQL and Python (Pandas, Boto3).
• Experience with data modelling and database design.
• Experience processing data from APIs, FTP and SFTP.
• Good understanding of data architecture and data governance.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Snowflake knowledge is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
• Open to a hybrid position.
