Ampleshift in Lisbon is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the client data team and build reliable, well‑modeled data powering analytics and reporting. You will work on data modeling with dbt, ensure data quality, and collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders.

The role welcomes from Junior to Senior levels, with autonomy and responsibilities aligned to experience; on-site and hybrid options in Lisbon, and a culture of curiosity, integrity, and continuous learning.

Qualificações

• Professional analytics engineer or data engineering with a strong analytics focus.
• Hands-on experience with dbt for data modeling, testing, and transformation.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Synapse).

The role sits within the client's data team and is central to building and maintaining reliable, well-modeled data that powers analytics and reporting. Applications are welcome from Junior to Senior level, the assigned degree of autonomy and responsibility will be adjusted to the experience demonstrated during the selection process.

Requirements:

• Professional experience as an Analytics Engineer or in a Data Engineering role with a strong analytics focus;
• Hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool) for data modeling, testing, and transformation;
• Strong SQL skills, with experience working in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Synapse);
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources, APIs, relational databases, files, and other external and internal systems;
• Working knowledge of Netlify for deploying and maintaining documentation sites, dashboards, or internal data portals;
• Strong attention to detail and rigor in data quality, consistency, and governance;
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
• Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Availability for on-site work, hybrid, in Lisbon.

Nice to have (not eliminatory):

• Experience with Python for data transformation, testing, or automation;
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) for downstream reporting;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
