Devoteam in Lisbon is seeking an Analytics Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data models that support BI, analytics, and reporting.

You will bridge business needs with technical teams, build ETL/ELT pipelines, and work with cloud data environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deliver trusted data products.

Strong SQL, data modeling, and communication skills are essential to collaborate with analysts, product teams, and stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, BI, or similar roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation workflows.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling techniques (Star, Snowflake, Data Vault).
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with modern data warehousing architectures.
• Version control experience (Git).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Build, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to transform raw data into trusted datasets.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse and data lake solutions across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Implement dimensional and semantic data models to enable self-service analytics.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance through testing, validation, monitoring, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Product teams to deliver data products.
• Optimize SQL queries, data transformations, and reporting layers for performance.
• Support development of dashboards, KPIs, and business metrics.
• Contribute to data governance and best-practice adoption.
• Create technical documentation and data lineage materials.
• Participate in code reviews and CI processes.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
• Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by translating business requirements into reliable and actionable data solutions.
• Build, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to transform raw data into trusted analytical datasets.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse and data lake solutions across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Implement dimensional and semantic data models to enable self-service analytics and improve data accessibility.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance through testing, validation, monitoring, and documentation practices.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Product teams to deliver high-quality data products.
• Optimize SQL queries, data transformations, and reporting layers to improve performance and scalability.
• Support the development of analytical solutions, dashboards, KPIs, and business metrics.
• Contribute to the adoption of data best practices, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data lineage, and knowledge-sharing materials.
• Participate in code reviews, version control processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or related data-focused roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation workflows.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault, or similar).
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Familiarity with modern data warehousing architectures and analytical ecosystems.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
