Decskill, an IT consulting company with over 10 years of experience, is seeking a Data Architect to design and govern enterprise data. Based in Portugal, you will collaborate with Data Office and regional teams to align data models with business needs.

You will drive data dictionaries, metadata, and governance practices, leveraging Collibra, Informatica, and Purview, while shaping the enterprise data model across platforms.

Qualificações

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in data architecture, preferably within banking or finance.
  • Experience with at least one data governance or cataloguing tool (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, MS Purview).
  • Ability to create clear data models and dictionaries that can be understood by both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Certifications such as DAMA, TOGAF, or other architecture qualifications.
  • Hands on experience with data management platforms: Abacus, Ab Initio, Talend DataCatalog, EBX/xDM.
  • Familiarity with visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau) or data prep / machine learning platforms (Dataiku).
  • Experience modelling with Archi, PowerDesigner, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments, encryption, and data format standards (JSON, XML, SWIFT).
  • Good level of English.

Responsabilidades

  • Design & model data – create logical and physical data models, data dictionaries and data catalog entries for critical applications.
  • Governance & compliance – apply data quality, security and privacy rules; ensure designs meet Group standards.
  • Support project teams – advise on data related activities (privacy, security, architecture) and help embed data governance into delivery pipelines.
  • Maintain the Enterprise Data Model – contribute to its development and keep it aligned with business changes.
  • Metadata & lineage – manage metadata, data lineage and master data relationships within the architecture tool.
  • Change & knowledge management – deliver training, documentation and facilitation sessions to spread best practices across regions.
  • Collaboration – work closely with the Data Office, functional/technical architects, security, business continuity and local IT teams.

We are looking for a Data Architect!

Responsibilities
