PrimeIT Portugal is seeking a Data Architect to lead metadata management, data cataloging, and governance across national and international data pipelines.

You will design semantic models, ensure data lineage, mentor teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to map business concepts to technical models in Lisbon or Porto.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of experience in data architecture or equivalent

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain the data catalog, lineage, and metadata standards.
• Design and continuously improve a centralized metadata repository.
• Define and implement semantic models (business vocabulary, canonical entities, data contracts).
• Ensure automated and up-to-date data lineage across pipelines.
• Build transparency dashboards for lineage, access logs, data quality for stakeholders.
• Lead data governance initiatives (data ownership, access control, best practices).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to map business concepts to technical models.

We are looking for a Data Architect:

Main Tasks

• Develop and maintain the data catalog, lineage, and metadata standards
• Design and continuously improve a centralized metadata repository
• Define and implement semantic models (business vocabulary, canonical entities, data contracts)
• Ensure automated and up-to-date data lineage across pipelines
• Build transparency dashboards (lineage, access logs, data quality) for business and compliance stakeholders
• Lead data governance initiatives (data ownership, access control, best practices)
• Implement self-service data product templates with embedded metadata
• Introduce observability for data pipelines and lineage processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to map business concepts to technical data models
• Promote best practices and mentor teams on metadata and semantic layer adoption
