A leading information services company in Lisbon is seeking a mid-senior level Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data models and ETL processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, leverage Snowflake and dbt, and ensure data accuracy and efficiency. Requirements include proficiency in SQL, experience with Python, and fluent English. • Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake or similar platforms.

• Fluent English essential; additional languages are valuable.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain data models and ETL processes.
• Collaborate with data analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement data analytics solutions leveraging Snowflake, dbt, and other technologies.
• Develop and maintain dbt models and documentation.
• Optimize query performance and data pipeline efficiency.
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot issues.
• Stay current with trends in data engineering and recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data models and ETL processes from data model creation to frontend design to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and implement complete End-to-End data analytics solutions leveraging Snowflake, dbt, and other relevant technologies.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, transformations, and documentation to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Optimize query performance and data pipeline efficiency to support scalable and high-performance analytics.
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring the integrity of our data assets.
• Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our capabilities.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt (data build tool) and strong understanding of data modeling concepts.
• Experience with Python or another scripting language for data manipulation and automation.
• Some experience in Power BI is valued.
• You have experience in version control tools like GitLab or GitHub.
• We operate in a global environment. Therefore, you need to speak English fluently - additional language skills are of course an advantage.
• European Union Citizenship or Portuguese Working Visa / Portuguese Residency.
