Hiscox is searching for a data analytics professional to join the Europe Data Team. You will design and deliver Power BI dashboards, map data models, and translate business needs into technical solutions. The role requires strong BI knowledge and hands-on SQL and Power BI experience.

You will collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to ensure data quality, governance, and insightful reporting across European operations, while continuously improving data processes and platform evolution.

Qualificações

• Good understanding of data mapping and business intelligence concepts.
• Knowledge of data modelling techniques, including star schema.
• Experience using SQL to query and manipulate data.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including report creation, data modelling, and DAX.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse and document business requirements for reporting and analytical needs.
• Perform data analysis and discovery across multiple sources to validate data quality, identify gaps, and support decision-making.
• Extract and prepare data for ad hoc business requests.
• Monitor analytical platform outputs for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business expectations.
• Support data modelling and mapping activities and ensure business rules are correctly defined and implemented.
• Analyse data from various systems to support mapping processes feeding the European Data Platform.
• Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to improving data processes, standards, and platform evolution.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Build and manage data models, relationships, and calculations in Power BI.
• Apply data visualisation best practices to create clear and impactful dashboards.
• Stay up to date with new Power BI features and industry trends to improve reporting capabilities.

• Fluent English, both spoken and written;
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team;
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences;
• Strong relationship-building skills with end users;
• Comfortable working in environments with ambiguity and change;
• Flexible, adaptable, and resilient;
• Nice to have: Experience with Databricks or exposure to Databricks-based data and analytics environments;
