Job summary

Dellent is seeking a Data Analyst/Data Engineer (French-speaker) to join a banking/financial services project, with hybrid work options in Porto or Lisbon. You will contribute to data modeling, SQL optimization, and ETL development in a team focused on robust data solutions.

Ideal candidates have 6–9 years of professional experience, strong SQL and data warehouse knowledge, and fluency in French and English.

Dellent is a consulting company focused in System Information and Telecommunications. Our goal is to help our candidates and consultants to take a step forward in their careers through projects that meet their needs and expectations.

This project is part of the business investment banking and financial services area, that currently has its technological hub in Portugal and is working on the development of innovative solutions and support for all operations related to the business.

We are looking for a Data Analyst/Data Engineer (French-speaker) to work in this project in Porto or Lisbon (Hybrid).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field;
• Between 6 and 9 years of professional experience;
• SQL: Advanced SQL skills are mandatory (complex queries, joins, optimizations, stored procedures);
• Data Modeling: Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehouse concepts (Kimball methodology);
• ETL Tools: Direct experience with Stambia is a major asset. Otherwise, solid experience with other ETL tools (Talend, Informatica, SSIS, Data Factory, dbt) and a strong willingness to adapt to Stambia;
• Fluent in French and English.

Nice-to-Have

• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX formulas and Power Query/M, is highly valued;
• Prior experience working in the banking, finance, or insurance sector (understanding of financial instruments, regulatory compliance, risk management, or retail banking data) is highly appreciated;
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP;
• Knowledge of Python or Unix/Linux scripting.
