EDP is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Digital RGA IT OT Data & AI Mgmt team in Lisbon or Madrid. You will develop, deploy and support AI and ML use cases across the organization, collaborating with business, architecture, development and operations teams in an international environment.

The ideal candidate has a degree in data science or related field and 1+ year of experience, with strong Python skills, Databricks/Azure familiarity and exposure to Generative AI and MLOps.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or Statistics.
• 1+ year of professional experience in Data Science, ML or Analytics roles.
• Good understanding of ML algorithms and concepts.
• Proficient in Python and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn).
• Familiarity with Databricks and Azure environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models.
• Familiarity with Azure ML and MLOps concepts.
• Experience in renewable energy or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of data engineering and data pipelines.
• Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
• Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain Machine Learning and AI solutions to support business and operational needs.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends and opportunities for optimisation.
• Design, train, validate and improve predictive and prescriptive models.
• Develop data preparation, feature engineering and model deployment processes using Databricks and Azure platforms.
• Support the deployment, monitoring and maintenance of AI/ML solutions in production.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Work closely with Data Engineering, Architecture and Operations teams to ensure data quality and solution scalability.
• Contribute to the adoption of Generative AI, Machine Learning and advanced analytics capabilities across the organisation.
• Prepare and communicate analytical results and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Follow Data Science, MLOps and governance best practices throughout the solution lifecycle.

What you will do

The candidate will join the Digital RGA IT OT Data & AIMgmtteam and contribute to the development, deployment and support of AI and Machine Learning use cases across the organization. Key Responsibilities

Develop andmaintainMachine Learning and AI solutions to support business and operational needs.

Analyselarge datasets toidentifypatterns,trendsand opportunities foroptimisation.

What are we looking for
