Job summary

Syensqo SA is seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Domain Lead to guide secure digital transformation across Sustainability, Growth Enablement, and R&I. You will partner with business and technical teams to embed security by design, coach teams, and remove blockers to delivery.

The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on coaching, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with security standards to enable innovation and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in Information Security, IT operations or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and regulations (e.g. SOX, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Experience with risk management, vulnerability management and compliance assessments.
• Ability to lead cross-functional security initiatives and drive results.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the CISO Office’s representative within the assigned IT domain, ensuring alignment with Syensqo’s security strategy and objectives.
• Collaborate with teams to provide hands-on support, constructive challenge, and practical coaching
• Help teams overcome obstacles, especially during high-pressure or complex situations, and guide them to successful outcomes
• Facilitate progress by identifying and removing barriers, enabling teams to embed security into their projects from the outset
• Ensure cybersecurity is an enabler for innovation and growth, not a constraint
• Promote a culture of shared responsibility for cybersecurity
• Encourage open communication, continuous learning, and the adoption of best practices that support both operational excellence and robust security
• Serve as a key member of the management team, contributing to strategic decisions and helping navigate complex or sensitive cybersecurity topics
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, acting as a trusted advisor and effective communicator
• When challenges arise, actively seek alternatives and facilitate progress, rather than simply enforcing boundaries
• Encourage creative problem‑solving and help teams find secure, practical paths forward
• Ensure all activities adhere to relevant internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Integrate compliance and process alignment into broader delivery and innovation activities, maintaining a holistic approach to security
• Regularly assess current security practices, identify opportunities for enhancement, and drive the adoption of improved processes and technologies
• Support teams in implementing changes that strengthen both security and operational performance
